6:30 is always one of the best parts of the day because that is the time that Stewart usually walks in the door or at least is on his way home. Here is a cute little video I took of Stewart playing with Pearson before bath time tonight. They are 2 of the cutest boys in the world!

4 Months

Happy 4 Months to you sweet boy! I can't believe another month has gone by, and this month has probably been the most fun yet. You are such a sweet and joyful little boy and your daddy and I absolutely love watching you smile and listening to your little laugh. You are still sleeping pretty well and usually go down around 8, wake up between 4 and 5 and then go back to sleep until sometime between 7:30 and 8:30. You are still taking a nap between every feeding, and usually sleep really well once you fall asleep, but lately you have really been trying to fight off sleep and seem to get yourself sort of worked up when we put you down for a nap. You usually spend your days playing on your play gym, riding in your stroller, or hanging out on a blanket outside. You really love to look at the trees and watch the leaves sway in the wind. You also have some new buddies that we hang out with, Elliot Krohn was born about 6 weeks ago, and Judah Roberts was born almost 4 weeks ago. I know you are going to have lots of fun hanging out with them in the future. Happy 4 months Mr. P, I just can't believe we have already spent 1/3 of a year together, you just keep getting more and more fun to hang out with. We love you so much and are so thankful for you!

A Morning to Remember
It was a peaceful Sunday morning. I had just finished nursing Pearson and we were all 3 relaxing in bed before beginning to get ready for church. I pulled Pearson up on my lap and was making faces with him when all of a sudden his face went from sweet and smiley to red and scrunched up. Next thing I know yellow goo is pouring out of his diaper and onto my lap and our sheets. I gave out a little squeal and asked Stewart to run and get a towel to sop up to poo with. He quickly returned with one baby wipe. Not exactly the towel I was looking for, and baby wipes aren't really that absorbent. Luckily there was a burp cloth on the floor that I could grab and so I prevented the stinky yellow goo from getting anywhere else. Pearson of course was as happy as could be and seemed to be most pleased with the large poo he had taken. I suppose we should be more diligent about changing his diaper first thing in the morning in case we have any more early morning poos.

Happy 3 Months Pearson!

Happy 3 Months Pearson! I can't believe you are a quarter of a year old! You weigh almost 16 lbs now, and are in 6-9 month clothes. Many people have told us that you are the size of their 6 or 9 month olds. It feels like you just continue to grow out of your clothes- we had to make a run to the Carter's outlet in Dallas to get you a few play clothes that would fit you! I've officially retired your 3-6 month clothes. I tried to make them last and some of them are so cute, but they are so hard to get over your head that you usually start crying because I take too long doing it, so it's just not worth it. Now that we have some new 9 month clothes you are much happier when it is time to change your clothes! Little boy, you are sleeping very well at night. The longest stretch you have done so far is 9 hours, and usually you average around 7 or 8 at night, and then do a quick feed and go back down for another 3-4 hours. Sleeping during the day is a different story. You are just not that into it. I've tried all kinds of different methods and schedules hoping to get you to nap a little more, but you fight off sleep during the day like nothing I've ever seen. It seems like you try to use all your strength to keep your eye lids from closing when you get tired. You are still taking a little cat nap between each feeding, but it usually lasts for only 30-45 minutes. You are eating about ever 3 hours, but I notice that if I am the one holding you after you wake up from a nap you want to eat sooner. I think you must smell your food and you get hungry a little earlier. Some of your favorite things to do are go for walks, ride front ways in the sling, lay on your play gym and look in the mirror, and take baths. You are smiling and cooing a ton now and your newest trick is sticking your tongue out at Daddy after he sticks his out at you. We are having so much fun with you and can't believe how much you change from week to week. Dad and I pray for you every night that you would love Jesus with all of your heart, and that you would whole heartily accept His love for you. You are such a joy and delight to us and we are confident the Lord has great plans for you! Happy 3 months sweet Pearson, we love you so much!
